My energy was slipping. So I did this.

This week's Better Together Round-Up is here! Think: one strategy that actually moves the needle, the resources you didn't know you needed, and a few fun favorites we're loving right now. Quick to read, packed with value. You in? đź•’ 3-minute read, unlimited inspiration.

Hi Reader,

Remember Poppy's Kleenex box situation from last week? (If you need a recap, she ate most of one).

We're still recovering. A few vet trips and more than a few nights of very little sleep later, our girl is finally getting back to herself. I can't say the same for my under-eye circles.

And honestly? Poppy wasn't the only one running low this month.

My energy had been slipping for a few weeks. Things that normally light me up, a new idea, a planning session, a client win, just felt flat. When you've built your whole business around loving your schedule, you notice that fast.

So this week, I listened.

I took a week with no meetings. Okay, technically two. But both were with vendors for our retreat next week, and they felt more like a fun field trip than work.

Then I leaned all the way into fall, my favorite season.

I ordered the Halloween teas from Club Magic Hour.

I saged the house and built a new altar with crystals and my current favorite oracle deck.

I met with my functional medicine doctor.

I sang Bruno Mars on the treadmill. Loudly.

I celebrated the fall equinox with all four elements. Water was an extra long hot shower. Fire was a cinnamon apple candle. Earth was a batch of cookies. Air was a long walk with Calm's bilateral music in my ears.

And yes, I watched Gilmore Girls. Obviously.

By the time Katy, my COO, and I sat down to plan Q4, I was excited again. Actually excited.

Here's the shift.

When your energy dips, pushing harder rarely brings it back. For me, it took a quiet calendar with a side of my favorite things.

Happy Fall!

XO,
Holly

P.S. There's a reason I slowed down this week. Our 10th retreat kicks off next Thursday, and my team comes in Wednesday. We know not everyone can be there in person, so we planned a whole inbox of surprises to celebrate with you. It starts Monday with a podcast episode I still can't believe finally happened, plus more goodies than Christmas from our retreat gift bag. Don't miss your inbox next week.

Your Weekly Anti-Social™ Shift

Schedule your refill before you need it.

When was the last time your calendar had a whole week with nothing on it?

We plan launches, content, and client calls down to the hour. Almost nobody plans a refill. Then we wonder why the work we used to love starts to feel heavy.

Here's what I'd do.

Pick one week this quarter and block it now. No client calls, no discovery calls, no coffee chats. Use it to think, plan, and do whatever makes you feel like yourself again.

This week: open your calendar, find the next open week before the holidays, and block it.
