I hired a five-figure coach without telling my husband. 🙈

Life First Business Strategy

for Entrepreneurs

Hey Reader,

Okay. I am going to tell you something I do not think I have ever put in an email before.

Early in my business, I hired my first coach. Five figures. And I did not tell my husband.

I was bringing in basically nothing at the time. The investment made zero logical sense. And instead of having the conversation, I just... ignored it. Hoped it would work out. Figured I would explain later when the money was rolling in.

That was not a good strategy.

We have come a long way since then. We talk about money now. Openly. Regularly. He is the saver. I am the risk taker. Together we are genuinely a better team than either of us would be alone.

But that season?

The one where I was avoiding the numbers, delaying hard conversations, and hoping the income would just figure itself out?

I know I am not the only one who has been there.

Which is exactly why I wanted to bring Gina Knox onto the podcast.

Gina is a financial strategist for small business owners with inconsistent income. Former QuickBooks researcher, Mexican mom, art school grad, hobby potter, and proud money nerd. She has helped her clients save over $9 million and build 6- and 7-figure wealth portfolios. And she does not make money feel scary. She makes it feel doable.

🎧 Episode 617: 3 Ways to Create Consistent Cash Flow and Eliminate Income Unpredictability with Gina Knox, Financial Strategist

If you have ever avoided looking at your numbers, delayed paying yourself, or felt like nobody taught you the actual financial side of running a business — this one is for you.

In this episode, you will learn:

  • The biggest myths about cash flow most business owners are quietly believing
  • Why so many entrepreneurs delay paying themselves and what has to shift first
  • Good debt vs. bad debt in small business and how to pay it off with a real plan
  • How to start building savings when your income is all over the place
  • A simple first step you can take this week to create a money system that actually works

→ Listen to Episode 617 (Apple | Spotify | YouTube)

Here is what I want you to take from this one.

The number you have not looked at in three months. The paycheck you keep promising yourself you will start taking once things settle down. The conversation you have been putting off.

That stuff does not fix itself. But it is also not as complicated as we make it in our heads. Gina is proof of that.

Press play. And if you have a friend who has been avoiding her QuickBooks for six months, she knows who she is. Forward this to her.

If nobody else has told you today, let me be the first: making a big bet on yourself is brave. Building the financial foundation to back it up? That is the next level. 💛

xo,
Holly
