I made less this year—and I’ve never felt more aligned.

Life First Business Strategy

for Entrepreneurs

Hey Reader,

There’s something really vulnerable about sharing numbers publicly—especially when they don’t follow the “up and to the right” storyline everyone expects.

But I want to tell you the truth anyway.

This year, our business revenue dropped 30% compared to last year. And 75% of that? Was completely intentional.

We chose to:

  • Launch the Collective Co-Op only once a year (it’s coming back in November!) 👀
  • Make Anti-Social School™ evergreen and lower the price so it’s more accessible 🎉
  • Pause launches for The Club to give ourselves calendar breathing room 🩷

That decision meant less revenue on paper—but here’s what I need you to hear louder: Our profit went up. And more importantly? So did my peace.

I’m in a season where time is more valuable than money.

Honestly… my body is changing a lot. (Hi, perimenopause 👋) My girls just turned 12 and middle school life is also a lot—friend drama, phone boundaries, dance rehearsals, and big feelings everywhere.

And in the middle of all that? I realized I didn’t want to keep doing some of the things were were doing anymore. Not because I can’t. But because it’s not what I need right now.

So we made bold moves👇

  • We simplified our team (every role now supports revenue or gives me back time)
  • We streamlined our systems with smart tools (including our GPT bots)
  • And we focused on profit, not pressure

One of my favorite recent wins? We used our credit card points—earned just by running the business efficiently—to buy a sauna we’ve had on our wish list for years. (It’s still being delivered, but the joy is already here.)

Even better: we’ve used those same points to travel as a family, cover surprise expenses, and create margin in our life… not just our spreadsheets.

This week on the podcast, I’m pulling back the curtain on:

✨ The exact changes we made
✨ How our
profit margins hit 55%
✨ What I’ve learned about health, energy, and sustainable growth
✨ And why it’s time to rethink what “success” really looks like

If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like your business is running you—this episode is your sign to pause.

The question I keep coming back to isn’t “How can I grow faster?”
It’s: How can I build a business that supports this season of life?

Maybe you’re asking the same thing. And if so, I hope this conversation reminds you:

You’re not behind. You’re allowed to pivot. And slowing down doesn’t mean you’re failing—it means you’re listening.

XO,

Holly
