Life First Business Strategy

for Entrepreneurs

This week’s Better Together Round-Up is here! Think: one game-changing strategy, the resources you didn’t know you needed, and a few fun favorites we’re loving right now. Quick to read, packed with value—you in? 🕒 3-minute read, unlimited inspiration.

Hi Reader,

This week, I fell down a glorious nostalgia rabbit hole again and landed squarely in the 90s — thanks to the new Lilith Fair documentary. If you’ve been around here a minute, you know this isn’t my first time talking about it.

But this week, it hit different. Yes, there were tears (I blame that on a hard parenting week). Yes, I made a playlist. And yes, I may have mouthed every word to Sarah McLachlan while reorganizing the snack drawer. 🎶

Here’s what stuck with me this round:

  • Back then, most radio stations refused to play two female artists back-to-back. The actual belief was that people would tune out.
  • So Sarah McLachlan said, "Fine." And built a whole music festival — just for women.
  • It wasn’t supposed to work. But it did. Wildly. Including donating millions of dollars to charity.
  • Because it wasn’t just a concert. It was a movement.

That’s what happens when something is aligned. Aligned with your values. Aligned with your audience. Aligned with what’s missing in the market.

I’ve been thinking about that word a lot lately: alignment.

Not trends. Not hacks. Not "doing it all."

But doing the thing that feels right even when it looks a little crazy from the outside.

Your Turn: What Would It Look Like to Be Goated and Aligned?

Don't roll your eyes at that word. 👀. One of the other things I learned this week in the orthodontist with my girls is that "goated" is now a verb!?!

I’m still catching up. But what better energy to channel this season than being goated in your own lane — the way Sarah McLachlan did when she built Lilith Fair? Stick with me. We are getting creative this week. 😉

No permission. Just a vision. Aligned. Audacious. And entirely her own.

So here’s your reminder:

✨ You don’t need approval to take up space.
✨ You don’t need a trend to create momentum.
✨ You can make a playlist, build a thing, and lead the movement you wish existed.

What would that look like this week — for you?

What Happens When You Align Your Offer with Your Energy?

Our Collective Co-Op is only launching once a year for the 2026 program, and here’s why:

It fills through alignment.
Not ads. Not algorithms. Community.

It’s not for everyone. But if you’re feeling the nudge that your next move is a bigger one, we’d love to show you how we’re doing it — slow, strategic, and surrounded by support.

Join our open house here.

Catch you next Friday,
Holly

P.S. NEW! Want to choose how often you hear from us?
👉 Just the Friday newsletters, please. You’ll still get the goods—just the simplified version.
👉 Send me everything! I want all the updates, launches, and behind-the-scenes.

P.P.S. The Costco sauna came this week. 10/10 recommend sweating out the stress while listening to Alanis Morissette.

Your Weekly Anti-Social™ Shift

ALIGNED > APPROVED

Straight from our Anti-Social School™ Playbook.

It’s that time of year when the calendar starts to crowd. Holidays, commitments, end-of-year everything.

And yet — I’m choosing less.

  • I’m taking most of December and all of the first week of January off (new rule). Go ahead and block your calendar out now!
  • I’m doubling down on parenting time — because two 12-year-olds and one palate expander later, I’ve earned my sauna nights.
  • I’m leaning into help. From my husband. From my team. From quiet moments that remind me what I’m building.

You don’t need permission to create your own season. But if you’re waiting for a sign — this is it.

Ask yourself: What would feel like a win for you right now?

Life First Business Strategy for Entrepreneurs Hey Reader, There’s something really vulnerable about sharing numbers publicly—especially when they don’t follow the “up and to the right” storyline everyone expects. But I want to tell you the truth anyway. This year, our business revenue dropped 30% compared to last year. And 75% of that? Was completely intentional. We chose to: Launch the Collective Co-Op only once a year (it’s coming back in November!) 👀 Make Anti-Social School™ evergreen and...
