Are you selling yourself short?

Hi Reader,

Last week I stood up at Fall Fest, our once-a-year retreat here in Columbus, and asked the room one question.

Who here is selling herself short on her next big thing?

My hand went up first. (This was right after I opened a three-day business retreat with a game of bingo. I have five degrees. I stand behind the bingo).

Then I looked around. Hands were up all over the room.

These are women with real businesses. Clients, revenue, years of work behind them. And most of them did not realize how much they had already done.

I get it. This summer was the hardest season of my business in six years. Success is not linear, and in a stretch like that it is hard to see what you have already built.

So before anyone planned a single thing, I had them look backward.

Where did you start?

What have you built since?

Numbers, names, dates. Then they said it out loud to their table.

Sometimes the biggest strategy is not creating more, but focusing in on the ONE thing you want to complete.

That is what I did this September, by the way. I skipped the big launch and picked one thing (which you are now seeing play out).

Friday night I brought everyone home. This is important. Pizza at my actual house.

I take clients to my house because it matters to me that they see real life, not a manufactured stage. Enter at your own risk. Poor Poppy has been so sick for the last month, so our house is missing rugs and pillows. (Remember she already ate a rag! We don’t need another vet trip). I told myself, it was OK. And no one cared. (Which they didn’t).

How are you showing this in your own business?

Over the remaining weekend, every woman got her own time in the hot seat, with honest feedback on her business from a table of women who were not there to be polite in the best way.

There was wine and a huge grazing board. A guided meditation in a dome, with warm cacao, which I know sounds like a lot. A white party on a rooftop that was very Real Housewives, minus the thrown drinks.

And of course we did a podcast. Six hundred episodes in, I cannot help myself. #comingsoon

I am sharing all this because here’s what the women said on the way out, in their actual words that is important for me to share with you.

→ "A reminder that I am winning and already know what I need to do. I just needed the confidence to do it."
→ "You don't need a large room, just a small intimate group who believes in you."
→ "You have all the time you need. What you are working on is what you are subconsciously prioritizing."
→ "What if you just went all in for 90 days?"
→ "You have permission to work on what lights you up, not what the internet says will work."
→ "Live events and personal events are the fastest way to move the needle. Find the right room."

The woman who wrote that first one already knew what to do. She needed a room to say it out loud in.

I put this on a slide that weekend: You were never meant to close the gap alone.

I want you to feel this. But also experience it.

Once a year, we open up our community for two days. We map out your revenue roadmap for 2027 and get our team on board to help you take action.

It is called the Backstage Pass. October 21 and 22, live on Zoom at 12pm ET.

On Day 1, you build your scorecard with your real numbers. On Day 2, Katy and I walk you through your 2027 Revenue Roadmap, and then we open the hot seats. You leave with your next 90 days planned.

It is $22 for both days. Yes, twenty-two. We know.

No rooftop and no cacao dome this time. You do get my whole team, and hot seats on Day 2.

XO,
Holly

P.S. Fall Fest is the in-person retreat that closes out every Co-Op year, and it is included when you join. The Backstage Pass is your two-day look at how we work before you decide anything.

Your Weekly Anti-Social™ Shift

One thing, finished

What is the ONE thing you want complete before the year ends?

Before you answer, look backward. Dan Sullivan and Dr. Benjamin Hardy call it the gain. Where did you start, and what have you built since? Write it down with real numbers. "12 clients to 40" counts. "I grew" does not.

Then pick the one thing. Everything else can wait its turn.

This week: write your gain list, circle your ONE thing, and bring it with you. We will do the math on it together.
