The bus stop dream got an upgrade 🚌

Hi Reader,

The girls started 7th grade on Wednesday.

Seventh. Grade.

And the bus stop dream I built this entire business around got an upgrade I didn't see coming: Poppy came with us. If you're picturing a calm little puppy trotting along on a leash, no. She is mostly a tiny land shark before 7am. But there we were on the first morning anyway. Two almost-teenagers, one wild puppy, and me thinking: this is the exact thing I left corporate for.

Here's the part I really want to tell you about, though.

The day before school started, we ran our biggest workshop of the year. It was the first live workshop I've taught since March, and it felt awesome. We pitched nothing. That was the strategy. We taught, we gave value, and everyone who showed up got an epic bonus: free time with me and my team.

Because I made a decision this fall. No fancy launches. I want it to be easy. The kind of easy where I can teach a workhshop and then spend the last day of summer with the girls. Not stressing over launch logistics. I'm going to be sharing more of what I'm actually doing, teaching workshops, and getting back to what I love most, which is giving value after the summer off.

Honestly? It's kind of chic to skip the fall launch, stick to the bus stop schedule, and feel good about your content. ;)

And the reason I can run an easy season at all is the system underneath it. So now that the girls are back to school and I'm back to schedule, I wrote out the entire content plan that keeps this business running while I'm standing at a bus stop holding a land shark. Every piece, every tool, the real time math.

Missed the workshop?
Reply REPLAY and I'll send you the recording.

XO,
Holly

P.S. Poppy's bus stop behavior is improving. By improving I mean she only ate one shoelace this morning. #tinylandshark

✨Your Weekly Strategy Shift

One anchor beats five platforms.

If your content plan starts with "what should I post this week," you're building on rented land. Flip it. Start with one long-form anchor you create weekly (a podcast, a video, a training), then let everything else be repurposed from it. Create once, distribute everywhere. One recording becomes your emails, your posts, and your blog content. That's the shift that gives you your hours back.

A few things I'm loving, sharing, and clicking this week:

  • Speaking of workshops, Kit is co-hosting one with me soon and you can save your spot.
  • The girls and I checked the last item off the summer bucket list: nail art. This was our inspiration and honestly, we came close.
  • Claude is now adding invisible watermarks to AI-generated text. Before anyone spirals, here's what to know: it flags that AI touched the content, not that AI wrote it. I'm not stressing. These are my words. ;)
  • Just because I'm not in school anymore doesn't mean lunch has to be boring. Adult lunchables are now on the menu.

Hi Reader, I thought this week was going to be chill. A few meetings, one last slow week before school starts Monday. Then came the 7th grade walk-through. If you're a twin mom, you know: two kids, two schedules, and somehow you're supposed to be present for both at the exact same time. The air...

Hi Reader, It's officially back-to-school prep week at our house. Yes, I know we have a few more weeks left. But I like to plan ahead. (Shocking, I know.) This week's list: Haircuts. New shoes. Backpack organization. Reviewing bus routes. Mapping out calendars. And here's the twist: in our city, the...

Hi Reader, My girls have worked all summer on one goal: make the 7th grade cheer squad. Gymnastics on Monday nights. Conditioning 2 to 3 nights a week. All summer. 40 girls tried out. 13 made it. The life lesson this week? They did not. And just like that, my high school trauma (we all have some)...
