Wait... your business can pay for that? 🌵

Life First Business Strategy

for Entrepreneurs

Hey Reader,

By the time you read this, I am already gone. This email was written, scheduled, and queued up before we ever left the driveway. The podcast episode was recorded and published. The team knows what to do.

The business is running.

And I am somewhere in Zion National Park, UT with my family, completely offline, not thinking about any of it. ⛰️

That is not an accident. That is the plan.

This is what a life-first business actually looks like in practice. Not the version where you sneak away and hope nothing breaks. The version where you build it so intentionally that leaving is just... part of the schedule.

We travel once a quarter. That is our family rule. Not always international, not always big. But once a quarter, we go somewhere. And we plan for it the same way we plan for a launch.

And this year? Our business paid for it.

Every invoice, every software subscription, every team payment runs through the right card. Those dollars became points. Those points became spring break. Arizona. Utah. And yes, 48 hours in Vegas with the girls because direct flights and 30% off shows through Chase. Do not judge us. 😂

This week's episode is the full behind-the-scenes of how we did it.

🎧 This Week: How We Used Our Business to Pay for Spring Break (Part 2)

A behind-the-scenes life x business episode

Not a strategy episode. Well, kind of. It is a life strategy episode. I walk through exactly what we did this year, what leveled up since Hawaii, and the one tool that made the whole planning process shockingly simple.

In this episode, you will learn:

  • The two cards we use and how we split business vs. personal spending to keep it clean
  • How to transfer points between Chase and Marriott (and when it actually makes sense)
  • The ChatGPT prompts we used to map out the best redemption strategy
  • The benefits spreadsheet that helped us use perks we would have completely forgotten about
  • Why setting a quarterly travel rhythm changes how you think about your business income

🎧 New to this? Start with Part 1.

Episode 563: How I Used My Business to Pay for Hawaii

Last summer, I broke down how our business funded a full Hawaii trip for four. This is where the points strategy started, and still one of our most downloaded episodes ever.

Here is the bigger thing I want you to take away.

The girls will not remember the points strategy or the spreadsheet or the ChatGPT prompts. They will remember the canyon views. The Vegas show. The hotel pools. The time together.

That is the real ROI of building a life-first business. Not accidental. Designed. Planned months before the trip ever happened. And already running while I am off living it.

You can build this too. And I want that for you so badly.

If nobody else has told you today, let me be the first: you are doing something really brave by building a business on your own terms. Keep designing it around the life you actually want. That is the whole point. 💛

Forward this to a friend who has been saying "we can't afford to travel right now." She might already be sitting on a system she does not know she has.

XO,
Holly
