3 naps, 1 puppy, and a made-up holiday

TL;DR - Life-first business strategy, delivered weekly. One strategy you can actually use, a few resources worth your time, and a couple favorites we're loving right now. You in? đź•’ 3-minute read.

Hi Reader,

We wrapped up the 4th of July weekend hanging with Poppy (our new puppy) and, if I am being honest, three naps on Sunday. Three. I am not sorry about a single one of them because 5:00 am wake-ups are real!

Then I rolled straight into one of my favorite weeks of the entire year. We are deep in prep for our annual Holly Days Sale. Our totally made-up, if Amazon can invent Prime Day then so can we, Christmas in July.

And I love planning it. Like a slightly unreasonable amount. Give me a good Canva logo and a color palette and I am a happy woman.

Here is why it feels so different from every other launch. There is no pressure. It is email only. It is big, which honestly means it is really good for you. And every single year we throw in one thing I get way too excited about. This year? We are giving away the scripts to the entire launch. Say whaaat. Yes. The whole thing. More on that tomorrow.

I also wanted to take a minute to share the actual strategy behind it. So I broke the whole thing down two ways this week. Want to plan your own holiday?

You can
listen to it on the podcast, or read exactly how I made 5 figures poolside.

But here is the part I keep coming back to.

I have not really posted on Instagram in a month. A whole month. Except for one fun recap, because I could not help myself (say hi to Poppy again).

And you know what happened? Everything kept running. We welcomed two new Co-Op members this summer. We are planning our fall retreat. We built an entire sale. All of it quietly, mostly off the grid, while I napped and played with a puppy and lived my actual life.

That is the life-first thing doing exactly what it promises.

XO,
Holly

P.S. Holly Days kicks off Saturday. Email only, best savings of the year. Pop it on your calendar so day one does not sneak past you. And tomorrow, I am telling you about that giveaway I hinted at. It is a good one. Watch your inbox. đź’›

✨Your Weekly Strategy Shift

Build the sale that fits your actual life.

The reason Holly Days works is honestly kind of boring, and that is the whole point.

It is scheduled ahead of time. It runs on email. I do not have to go live every day or invent anything new. It sells something I already have, with a few bonuses that make it an easy yes.

That is the entire strategy.

So consider this your permission slip. Pick your window. Use what you have already got. Add a bonus or two people actually want. Then let it run while you are at the pool.

A few things I'm loving, sharing, and clicking this week:

  • Curious what actually goes into my emails? I spilled it all on Cheryl Rerick's Email Diaries and had way too much fun doing it.
  • We have quietly been redoing all the messaging on our website, thanks to my amazing team. If you need a fast sales page for your summer offer, Studio Classica has you covered with a special “HOLLY” offer.
  • My friend Kris Jones teamed up with Donald Miller, yes the StoryBrand guy, on a gorgeous new book I cannot wait to dig into.
  • Sometimes I just need the universe to hand me a sign, so I have been listening to this summer astrology read on repeat.
  • Ever want to creep on the AI systems other women are actually using to run their businesses? That's the whole point of the AI Systems Showcase, a free 3-day event July 21-23. I'm in the lineup, showing off Principal Paige, my 90-day client attraction bot. Grab your free spot here. đź’›
  • And we finally watched something worth the tears. The best thing we have seen all summer.

Some of the links I share may be affiliate links, which means I might earn a small commission—at no extra cost to you—if you decide to make a purchase. I only ever recommend tools and resources I truly love and use myself. Think of it as a little thank-you for supporting what we do around here. 🫶
