Creating Life First Business Strategy for Entrepreneurs
Think: one game-changing strategy, the resources you didn't know you needed, and a few fun favorites we're loving right now. Quick to read, packed with value, you in? 🕒 3-minute read, unlimited inspiration.

Hi Reader,

I planned an intentionally slow summer. On purpose. Less on the calendar. A trip to Alaska. A brand new puppy named Poppy who is currently redefining my relationship with sleep.

Slowing down does not come naturally to me. But in this season of life, other categories needed my attention. Puppy. Girls. Family.

Plus, my goal is to build a business that grows while I’m away, so the best way to test it is to actually step away.

I have also been trying to spend some intentional time, reading, listening and digging more into human design. A little more wooo than strategy. If you are into that, this week was a big week. Specifically 7/20. If you are not deep in astrology, that was a day a lot of people were calling a portal. A rare reset when a bunch of cosmic shifts stacked up at once, the kind meant to close one chapter and open the next.

Stick with me. I used the date as a marker. Took an extra long walk, journaled. Sent some messages to friends. A reason to actually slow down and make a quiet pact with myself. To trust that the next door is going to open. Soon.

Why am I sharing this? Because not every week is do these 3 things to scale.

So I am leaning into it. A little Human Design, a little trust, a lot less forcing. Trying to follow the quiet shift instead of talking myself out of it.

Want to play too?

Try this. Ask ChatGPT or Claude: "I'm a [your Human Design type]. I've done the work and I'm in a waiting season, trusting the next opportunity is coming. Based on my design, how am I actually meant to make decisions and recognize the right door when it opens? And what does 'waiting' look like for my type, specifically?" It reframes patience from doing nothing into doing it on purpose.

Here is a little behind the scenes of what else is going on around here this summer:

1. The Holly Days sale wrapped, and we have a whole new group of Anti-Social School™ students. Welcome, welcome, welcome. If you sat this one out, do not worry. We have something fun (and totally free) coming for you in August. In the meantime, go download the SHIFT podcast. It is the fastest way to feel the difference. Grab SHIFT here

2. A coach I love. If you have not met Dallas Travers yet, this is your sign. She coaches coaches, the values-driven kind who serve real humans and not other entrepreneurs, and she has 20+ years of strategy behind her. She is one of the genuinely good ones. I will be there. Come with me. Meet Dallas

3. New messaging, new positioning. Summer is for playing, so I am playing. The website is a slow roll right now. About half the pages are updated, with more coming in August. Take a peek and tell me what you think.

4. Low ticket won this summer. Our SEO + GEO Audit is the number one download all summer, hands down. It teaches you to actually get seen through SEO and GEO, and then it updates it for you. Go grab it. Get the SEO + GEO Audit

XO,
Holly

P.S. That free August thing I mentioned? It is going to be good. Stay on this list so you do not miss it. đź’›

✨Your Weekly Strategy Shift

Alignment is a strategy, not a vibe.

The seasons where I stop forcing and start following what feels right are the seasons the business grows the most. Not because I am working harder. Because I am finally working on the things that were actually mine to do. Play is data. Pay attention to what feels light.

A few things I'm loving, sharing, and clicking this week:

  • The thing I am weirdly obsessed with for Zoom calls right now? These pants. Looks put together, feels like nothing.
  • The girls and I did at-home pedicures with this gel starter kit, and now I am on a full nail kick.
  • I graduated high school in 1997, so this was exactly what I needed this summer. I taught the girls all about Mazzy Star, Tori Amos, and corded phones. Not iPhones. Actual phones. And yes, flannel included.

Some of the links I share may be affiliate links, which means I might earn a small commission—at no extra cost to you—if you decide to make a purchase. I only ever recommend tools and resources I truly love and use myself. Think of it as a little thank-you for supporting what we do around here. 🫶
